O discurso final da conferência geral de outubro de 2024 foi mais do que a conclusão de uma conferência já encerrada: foi uma visão de esperança para o futuro.
“O melhor ainda está por vir, meus queridos irmãos e irmãs, porque o Salvador está voltando”, testificou Presidente Russell M. Nelson, Presidente da Igreja “... O melhor ainda está por vir, à medida que voltamos completamente nosso coração e nossa vida a Jesus Cristo.”
Na sessão da tarde de domingo da conferência, Presidente Nelson convidou os ouvintes a rededicarem sua vida a Jesus Cristo.
“Agora é o momento de fazermos de nosso discipulado nossa maior prioridade.”
No início de seu discurso, Presidente Nelson também anunciou os locais para 17 novos templos.

Élder Dieter F. Uchtdorf, do Quórum dos Doze Apóstolos, falou sobre nutrir a fé no Salvador para suportar as provações e incertezas da vida.
“Jesus Cristo e Seu sacrifício expiatório são a raiz do nosso testemunho”, disse ele. “Todas as outras coisas são ramos.”
Élder Ronald A. Rasband, do Quórum dos Doze Apóstolos, convidou os ouvintes a apoiarem, ou “levantarem”, o Profeta seguindo seus conselhos e ensinando suas palavras.
“Nós levantamos a luz do Senhor quando nos apegamos firmemente aos nossos convênios e quando apoiamos nosso Profeta vivo enquanto ele fala as palavras de Deus”, disse ele.
Élder Quentin L. Cook, do Quórum dos Doze Apóstolos, testificou que as escrituras ajudam a edificar um alicerce de fé.
“As escrituras sagradas e os profetas vivos são uma maneira importante pela qual um Pai Celestial amoroso torna Seu plano de felicidade disponível a todos os Seus filhos”, disse ele.
Outros oradores na sessão da tarde de domingo incluíram Élder Takashi Wada, Élder Rubén V. Alliaud e Élder I. Raymond Egbo, todos Setentas Autoridades Gerais.
Élder D. Todd Christofferson, do Quórum dos Doze Apóstolos, dirigiu esta sessão. Élder Ahmad S. Corbitt, Setenta Autoridade Geral, ofereceu a oração de abertura, com a irmã Tamara W. Runia, segunda conselheira na presidência geral das Moças, oferecendo a oração de encerramento.
O Coro do Tabernáculo na Praça do Templo, dirigido por Mack Wilberg e Ryan Murphy, com os organistas Brian Mathias e Andrew Unsworth, apresentou “Corações, Pois, Exultai”, “Só por em Ti, Jesus, Pensar” e “Pense na canção”, concluindo com “And the Glory of the Lord” [E a glória do Senhor], de Handel.
